At Harbor Retirement Associates, we believe in Celebrating Senior Living. This would not be possible without dedicated, professional leaders who selflessly and tirelessly apply their God-given talents in pursuit of that elevated standard.

It is with great pleasure and intense pride that I announce the promotion of two of those tremendous leaders, Lori Vandekerckhove and Jim Kobrick, to the position of Divisional Vice President for Harbor Retirement Associates.

These two professionals have been serving HRA with the excellence and intensity indicative of their careers and talents and the true heart that is the hallmark of our culture at HRA. Both leaders truly embrace and exemplify our Core Values of Respect, Attentiveness, Integrity, Stewardship, and Excellence. As Regional Directors of Operations for our organization, they have supported our communities with dedication, enthusiasm and grace; we are extremely proud to have them leading our community teams.

Lori was born in Middletown, New York, and graduated with a degree in psychology and minor in gerontology from Flagler College. Naturally exhibiting empathy and selflessness, Lori volunteered in activities serving seniors from a young age, which solidified her love for serving others.

After college, Lori worked in life enrichment in assisted living and memory care before becoming an Executive Director. As an ED, Lori achieved high census and strong financial results with sales for existing and start-up communities for senior brands, including Brookdale and today HarborChase. Lori has worked at HRA as a consultant, executive director, and most recently, until her promotion, Regional Director of Operations.

In his 30 years in the senior living industry, Jim has worked with various product lines, including independent living in full-service communities, assisted living and memory care, as well as skilled nursing. Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in Health Services Management from Ithaca College and an MBA from Nova-Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is a passionate leader with strong team and relationship building capabilities who believes in investing in people.

Throughout his career, Jim has been described as a strong leader who has earned the trust and respect of his peers and teammates. Jim’s personal core values include the pursuit of excellence, the desire to serve, coaching and people development, as well as performance and process improvement.
