Humberto Reyes, Directory of Hospitality
Humberto started cooking for his family at an early age. As the years went by, he realized that he had a decent understanding of complex flavors and creativity, so he enrolled in a local community college culinary arts program and graduated with an associate degree in culinary arts. After graduating college, he began working at a private boarding school as well as a local restaurant while he continued his studies to obtain a Bachelor’s in Health and Wellness. Later in his career, Humberto started working in the hotel & hospitality industry before transitioning to the senior living industry. Humberto has been working in senior living for almost a decade and loves getting the opportunity to create tasty and beautiful dishes for guests to enjoy.
In Humberto’s words, “I have always had a passion for assisting the elderly, and one of the major factors that I noticed was that the quality of food at most communities was not up to par. So, I thought, what better way to give back than to use my cooking talent and apply it to work in the senior living community?”
