HarborChase’s Pledge Of Love: Our Commitment to Safety
Posted By HarborChase on April 15, 2021From the first emergence of the coronavirus in the United States, HarborChase Senior Living communities have prioritized the health and safety of our residents, families, and associates. We know that 2020 was a stressful year full of fears, questions, and uncertainties, and we’ve done our best to face these challenges together to ensure safety and peace of mind for all involved.
From all of us at HarborChase Senior Living and Harbor Retirement Associates, we want to thank you for your patience and understanding during this past year. We also want to extend our most profound appreciation for our associates and all healthcare workers for their dedication and courage during these difficult times./p>
We’re taking a moment to share some information about our continued commitment to health and safety in our communities.
Pledge of Love
In each of our senior living communities, we have asked associates to sign a pledge of love. This pledge is a company-wide initiative wherein our associates commit to exercising the same mindful precautions outside of work that they do in our communities. The promise goes as follows:
As an Associate of HRA Senior Living,
I pledge to show my love by adhering to the following
guidelines and protective measures.
I will wear a protective mask in public.
I will maintain social distancing of six feet or more.
I will not participate in group outings or gatherings of more than ten people.
I will maintain a high standard of cleanliness by washing my hands several times a day.
If I feel sick or exhibit any of the symptoms of COVID-19, I will let my supervisor know.
I will continue to adhere to these guidelines both on the job and at home.
As new guidelines are introduced, I will follow them to the best of my ability.
By asking our associates to sign this pledge, we are encouraging them to do their part and become heroes in our communities.
HarborChase Safety Measures
Our communities are not only following, but exceeding both CDC and local state recommended guidelines when it comes to access, admission, and activities. We have also identified a taskforce that immediately conceptualized a strategy to offset the COVID-19 outbreak, including how to manage the virus should any resident or associate become infected.
We’ve been closely following any updates to restrictions and have adjusted them to correspond. We are currently offering virtual tours for those interested and are proud to be accepting move-ins (following a particular protocol) during this time.
Viking Solutions
Harbor Retirement Associates is also proud to implement the use of Viking Pure Solutions, an innovative cleaning solution that effectively kills viruses and bacterias, including the COVID-19 virus. This solution is also chemical-free, making it safe for senior living communities and potentially vulnerable residents.
Resident Wellness
Here at HarborChase, we know how important socialization and activity are for older adults, and we’ve been acknowledging this throughout the quarantine and various lockdowns. We’ve been monitoring individuals closely and have allowed for safe visitation and socially distanced activities where possible.
While this year has undoubtedly been challenging, we are dedicated to continuing to do our part to combat this pandemic. We believe it is our duty to aim our full attention at ensuring the health and wellness of every person connected with Harbor Retirement Associates, which is why we’ve enacted initiatives like the pledge of love.
We are hopeful that through our ongoing commitment combined with the vaccine, we can turn a corner to a brighter, safer, and healthier future for everyone.
