Throughout its history of serving seniors, HRA has placed a strong emphasis on ensuring that the individual needs of every resident are met. Associates are carefully chosen and are steadfastly committed to our core values of respect, attentiveness, integrity, stewardship and excellence. Over the past couple of years, HRA communities and associates have been honored with a growing number of prestigious awards.
Recently, four HRA associates were recognized with individual awards by FLORIDA ALFA (FL ALFA), the Florida chapter of the Assisted Living Federation of America. This recognition included the following individual awards: Executive Director of the Year, Sales and Marketing Director of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Life Enrichment Director of the Year. These awards were created by ALFA to recognize assisted living administrators who demonstrate outstanding innovation, achievement and leadership.
Earlier this year, eight HRA communities in three different states received Pinnacle Quality Insight’s 2015 Customer Experience Award™ in several different categories. This award recognizes outstanding senior living communities who have consistently received high ratings from residents and their families. HRA earned the recognition by demonstrating a continued dedication to providing Best in Class senior healthcare services. The winning categories included: “Quality of Food”, “Safety and Security”, “Variety of Food/Menu Choices”, “Transportation Needs”, “Dining Services”, “Communication”, “Dignity and Respect” and “Recommend to Others”.
In addition, SeniorAdvisor.com, the leading online ratings and reviews site for senior living communities nationwide, recognized an HRA community with a Best of 2015 Award. This award recognizes outstanding senior living communities who have consistently received high ratings from residents and their families.
I wish to express heartfelt thanks to you and your wonderful staff for the excellent care extended to Billie McNeil, my dear mother.
You and your staff went beyond our expectations to make her transition (and ours) as easy as possible. We will be forever grateful for the efforts of the great caregivers in Magnolia Cottage, as well as kitchen staff under the direction of Chef Lamarr Thomas. Hollie Milodrowski, Director of Resident Care, and her wonderful assistant always stayed up to date on Mom’s periodic health issues. We have grown to love each of you and will miss you as we move.
Just a note to express our appreciation for the excellent care and concern given Mom. “Miss Billie” has enjoyed her stay at HarborChase in Sterling Heights. Her level of care has been wonderful.

I'm not sure there are words to express the gratitude that my brother and I feel for all that you, HarborChase, and your entire staff did for our mother, Josephine while she was in your care.
It was so much more than just the absolute professionalism of you and your staff. You made HarborChase not just a place for her to stay, but a home in which she felt loved and comfortable. You began as caregivers, but the love and compassion that you showed to her made every one of you part of her family in a very real way. She loved all of you and appreciated the care and affection that she received every day, sometimes in very difficult circumstances.
All of us who loved her, my brother and I, her sisters and brother, her nieces, nephews and friends, appreciate, and were touched by, the hospitality and kindness that was always there, whether we were alone or sometimes in large groups. You became part of our family also.
I could probably fill a couple of pages listing all the loving and compassionate things that you did; from the girls who stopped by on their breaks to say hello, kiss her on the cheek and whisper "I love you miss Josephine", to the tenderness of you stopping in her room to tell her how lovely she looked and how special she was.
For me, knowing that when I left each day, I was leaving her in the care of people who loved her and would take care of her as they would members of their own family, was a gift I will always be grateful for. I think the highest compliment I can pay you is to say, without any hesitation, that there is no where, absolutely no where, that Mom would have wanted to spend her final years other than at HarborChase, with you.
We will be eternally grateful, and all of you will be in our thoughts and our prayers.
Thank you ALL for taking such excellent care of my father, Thomas. Knowing he was in such good hands by people who really cared about him and who loved their job was a comfort to me. I also want to thank you for the warm welcome you gave to me each and every time I visited dad. From the cooks to the aides, you were all eager to help make my father's final journey a comfortable one. He always told me how hard you worked and how well you took care of him. You all have a "gift". Thank you for sharing it with me and my father.
On behalf of Walter and Nancy, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful care they received.
Though Walter's stay was brief, he soon become aware that Nancy would be safe and well taken care of. I’m sure that gave him peace of mind.Nancy often commented how grateful she was to be there and how kind every one was to her. We’re grateful that two very special people could spend their remaining time together in a place where caring, comfort and peace came first.
