My grandmother has been a resident of Harbor Chase Assisted Living community in Coral Springs since January 2010. I would like to share with you how impressed we are with the management team at Harbor Chase and the operators of the overall facility. First, it is so welcoming and impressive that after our first visit there, every staff member knew my grandmother's name and both me and my sisters name. They consistently refer to everyone in the residence by their first names and always deal with everyone in a manner of respect and genuine caring. The facility is always very clean, well organized with an abundance of interesting activities available everyday. Anything we have ever asked for has been taken care of immediately. It is evident Diane McCartin and her team pour their hearts into the caring for the residents and making it a fabulous community to all. They are the most dedicated individuals we have ever seen and makes us happy and comfortable to know how well our grandmother is loved and cared for by all of them.
I want to thank you and let you know how much I appreciate the standards of your center and the professionalism of Diane and her team. It has been a very pleasurable experience for our entire family.
Thank you, Warm Regards,
When it came time that my father required more care than we were able to give him we looked at various options. After meeting Lisa Ball and the staff at HarborChase, we knew that we didn’t need to look any further. It was important to us that my father’s quality of life be maintained even as his condition declined. HarborChase allowed him to feel independent, while we knew he was constantly being watched over. Lisa, who knew every resident by name and maintained a perpetual smile and cheerful hello for each, somehow always knew my dad’s whereabouts and encouraged him to be active. Lisa’s watchful eye gave us the reassurance we needed to go on with our lives without worry.
The staff was mindful about even the simplest things; like seating my dad at a dining table with potential friends and encouraging him to attend various social events; even if he chose to turn off his hearing aids. We never had unease about his being lonely, forgetting a meal or his medication. Everyone was continually, in some way, interested in my father’s well-being and sensitive to any issues that were of particular concern to our family.
Dad’s medical care was of utmost importance to us, but not something we ever wanted him to worry about. Dad’s medications were handled by the nurses and doctors regularly visited. Knowing that Belinda was running the show in that department, gave our family a steady sense of comfort. Belinda is not only caring, but incredibly astute and primed for any situation. Belinda’s instincts gave us a sense of peacefulness.
The first time we came for a visit and saw Dad surrounded by his new peers, we knew that although he may not always want to participate in some of the activities, he was happier there than anywhere else he could have been at that stage of his life. The staff at HarborChase made sure the atmosphere never felt like a nursing home and we knew he was getting the care he needed. Our father’s stay at HarborChase was all we could have wanted for him in his declining years. We are incredibly grateful to Lisa, Belinda and the staff at HarborChase for making that part of his life and ours enjoyable.
