June 9, 2010 - HarborChase of Gainesville hosted a Garden Gala Charity event.  The event was held in our beautiful courtyard in the evening. There were tents, a harpist, hor d'oeuvres, and drinks served throughout the night. There were over 40 baskets donated by local businesses to be raffled off at the end of the night. All of the proceeds from the raffle went to the Jordan Klausner Foundation, a local charity that helps children with neurological disabilities.

The Jordan Klausner Foundation;

• Offers Conductive Education opportunities for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
• Educates children with disabilities and their families on the civil rights afforded to them by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
• Provides assistance, counseling, and advocacy for developing appropriate education plans.
• Makes available appropriate adaptive equipment.
• Provides assistance in obtaining appropriate government or private funding services.
• Provides legal counseling and services when appropriate.

There were over 50 people in attendance and we raised $1,000 for the foundation. We are so thankful for all of the donations by local businesses, and honored to help children with disabilities right here in our community.
